Alain Mikli Born as Alain Miklitarian, back in 1955, Alain Mikli an French designer of high-standed handmade eyeglasses and accessories. Mikli's lines feature unique styles, colours and shapes, and are a favourite among European celebrities and avant-garde Americans. Mikli claims his use of colour is inspired by his Armenian -Lebanese heritage.
In 1978, Mikli opened his design studio in Paris. By 1983, celebrities like Elton John had helped bring the line recognition by wearing and publicizing Mikli products. In 2000, Mikli's firm employed 220 people with sales in the region of 220 million. Approximately 500,000 pairs of Mikli glasses have been sold worldwide.
